How to Prevent the Green Ring:
- Place eggs in a pot and cover with cold water (1–2 inches above eggs).
- Bring to a boil, then immediately turn off the heat.
- Cover the pot and let eggs sit:
- 9 minutes for soft yolks
- 11–12 minutes for firm yolks
- Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes.
- Peel under running water for easier removal.
